Sam Sharf

Partner, Director of Baseball Operations

Sam is a Co-Founder of College Sports Advisors and will serve as the Director of Baseball Operations. He brings with him 7+ years of experience guiding families through the baseball recruiting process. He fully understands client management and how to best serve each student-athlete to achieve their goals.

Experience:
  • Vice President - Time to Sign Sports (2015-2020)

  • Director of Player Development & On-field Operations - Time to Sign Sports (2013-2014) 

  • Student Assistant - Penn State University Baseball (2009-2013)

Garrett Stonehouse

Baseball Operations Assistant

Garrett is a former Division 1 baseball player at Elon University. At Elon, Garrett graduated with a Bachelors in Marketing and a minor in Sports Management. He was a 5 year starter for Elon, being named captain in 2020 and 2021. He also was on the Preseason all Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) team in both 2019 and 2020 seasons. He ended up on the 2nd team all CAA in 2019 as well. We are extremely happy that Garrett is joining the CSA staff. 

Experience:
  • Former D1 baseball player at Elon University

  • Degree in Marketing and Sports Management

  • 5-year starter at Elon University, serving as Captain for the 2020 and 2021 seasons

John Ziznewski

Regional Baseball Advisor, Northeast

One of the top players in LIU Brooklyn history, John Ziznewski spent two years as a player (2013-2014) and three as an Assistant Coach (2016-2019). The 2014 Northeast Conference Player of the Year, Ziznewski tore through the NEC with a vengeance as a senior, leading the league in five offensive categories. Ziznewski was drafted in the eighth round of the 2014 Major League Baseball Amateur Draft by the Chicago White Sox.

Experience:
  • Former professional player and college coach

  • 2014 Northeast Conference Player of the Year

  • American Baseball Coaches Association All-America honors

Bobby Webb

Regional Baseball Advisor, Southern California

Bobby is a former Division 1 and Professional Baseball player. He currently owns a baseball academy called Undefeated Academy, in Long Beach, CA. He has been helping his athletes through the recruiting process and developing them to become collegiate athletes.

Experience:
  • 4+ years of experience with developing and working with high school, collegiate, and professional athletes. 

  • Former professional player and professional hitting coach.

  • Has helped high school and junior college athletes to reach the Division 1, Division 2, Division 3, and NAIA levels, with the range from California all the way to New Hampshire.

Joe Curcio

Regional Baseball Advisor, North Carolina

Joe is a former division 1 baseball  player at LIU Brooklyn (2016-2018), where he earned 2nd team all-conference honors. He played went on to play at D2 powerhouse Pace University where he graduated with a business degree with a focus in marketing. Due to COVID, Joe was able to play one final year of baseball at Felician University in Rutherford, New Jersey. There he received a masters degree in business. Joe was a 3-year captain at 2 different baseball programs. Now he coaches travel baseball in NC and is excited to be a part of the CSA family.

Experience:
  • 2nd team all-conference as a freshman at LIU-Brooklyn (2017)

  • Captain at 2 different programs (Pace, Felician)

  • 41 for 51 career in stolen base attempts

rick foresteire

Regional Baseball Advisor, New England

Rick is a former college and semi-pro baseball player with deep coaching experience. Prior to joining CSA, he spent seven years as the Director of Athletics and Head Varsity Baseball Coach at Thayer Academy, and 25 years in the same roles at Buckingham Browne & Nichols School. He's led his teams to 23 consecutive winning seasons, and was inducted into the Massachusetts Baseball Coaches Hall of Fame in 2019. Rick has coached three MLB draft picks and four former professionals, in addition to many collegiate players in top programs.

Experience:
  • Over 30 years of coaching experience in the prestigious Independent School League (ISL)

  • Led teams to 23 consecutive winning seasons and 391 career wins

  • Inducted into the Massachusetts Baseball Coaches Hall of Fame in 2019
