The PBR Future Games has become one of the most significant events on the calendar for underclass players and college coaches. Hosted at LakePoint Sports in Emerson, GA, this 4-day showcase allows players to go through skill work and multiple games.
This year three CSA players were selected for this year’s event: Aaron Del Tin (2024 / INF), Rory Finn (2024 / INF), and Jake Howlett (2024 / CAT). Director of Baseball Operations Sam Sharf also made the trip to the Atlanta metro area to be on-site with our players and college coaches. It was an extremely productive trip, and these players excelled on this stage.
After a strong showing by all three players on day one throughout the skills portion of the event, Jake Howlett with Team New Jersey took center stage in game 1. He started with an opposite-field HR over the right-field wall, showcasing his legit power bat with the ability to dive the ball to all fields. He followed up in his next at-bat with a pull-side shot over the wall in RF. This captured a lot of attention from the PBR staff and college coaches. Jake continued the hot start and added a few more hits throughout the remaining games - continuing to find the barrel consistently.
Aaron Del Tin, also with Team New Jersey, showed well throughout the event. He continues to highlight his play defensively in the middle of the field making plays with good range and throwing from multiple arm slots.
CSA was well represented on Team Pennsylvania with the play of Rory Finn. Defensively, he flashed a ton of arm strength across the diamond - especially with balls deep to his arm side at shortstop. At the plate, his bat speed stood out to coaches. Throughout the event, he displayed a lot of loud contact with three balls hit at 90+ exit velocity.
We are proud of these players' strong performances at this national event. With hundreds of college coaches in attendance, PBR continues to show why this platform is elite across the baseball recruiting world. We look forward to following along with these players as they take the next step in their journey.
